Mia Cellucci

Mia CellucciMia Cellucci is a Project Coordinator at the Center for a Livable Future whose responsibilities include managing the Community Supported Agriculture Project, coordinating the Center’s many events, and assisting with a multi-year food systems research project on the northeastern United States. Mia also serves as a content and design resource for the Communications team. Her interests include empowering disadvantaged communities by improving access to fresh, healthy foods, and engaging youth in food system change.

Mia holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Studies from the Johns Hopkins University. Her decision to study public health was driven by her experience working on a small organic farm, which underscored the intimate connections among good health, social justice and environmental stewardship. Prior to joining her colleagues at the Center for a Livable Future, Mia led interactive nutrition lessons for Baltimore City youth, served as a peer health educator on her college campus, and worked on a seven-acre organic farm in Massachusetts. She was drawn to the Center for a Livable Future’s approach to food production, the environment, diet and public health as elements of a complex system rather than disjointed parts.
