Eliza Barclay

img_06421Eliza Barclay is a Masters student in Science Writing at Johns Hopkins and a freelance journalist.  Her writing on health, the environment, food, and other topics has appeared in The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic News, The Lancet and several other publications. She has received fellowships from the International Reporting Project at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting. She has trained and mentored African and Asian journalists on covering HIV/AIDS and H1N1 with the media development organizations Internews and the International Center for Journalists. She is a recipient of a 2009-2010 CLF Innovations Grant and will be studying meat consumption in China.
