Chris Stevens
Chris is director of communications for the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future. He is responsible for managing the Center’s public relations and outreach programs, including oversight of the website, LivableFutureBlog, and social media programs. Chris has over 30 years of editorial, public relations and marketing, and strategic communications planning experience in private, public and governmental organizations. Prior to joining CLF in 2008, Chris served as senior communications specialist for the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Coastal Resource Management Division, Silver Spring, Maryland. Previous assignments include manager and director of public relations for Leaseway Transportation Corp., Cleveland, Ohio; marketing communications director for CSX Corp., Baltimore, Maryland and Jacksonville, Florida; director of communications, Allegis Group, Inc., Hanover, Maryland, and marketing manager for Smith, Bucklin & Associates, Washington, DC. Chris is a graduate of the University of Iowa’s School of Mass Communication.
