Can Organic Farming Feed the World?
Charles Benbrook, PhD, visiting CLF’s offices earlier this week, sat down with CLF staff to discuss a wide variety of topics, including the future promise of organic farming. Following his keynote lecture at the Polly Walker Ecology Fund, the Livablefutureblog asked the Organic Center’s Chief Scientist if organic agriculture could feed the rapidly increasing population, and to outline the importance of soil in the equation. A full video of Dr. Benbrook’s December 7, 2010 presentation at the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will soon be available on the Center for a Livable Future’s website.
